JOHOR BAHRU -- Sultan Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar is saddened by the action by some parties which have slandered the Johor royal family in connection to a piece of land where a religious school was located.
In a posting on his official Facebook account Sultan Ibrahim, the sultan said the slanderous statements which had gone viral on the social media, alleged that the Johor royal family had seized the land in Johor Bahru where the private religious school was located.
The sultan also said the statements were purposely spread on the social media even though they were untrue.
“Do not simply make statements without first referring to those concerned (officials) or the government,” he said to the Royal Press Office (RPO) as posted on his official Facebook account.
RPO is the Johor royal family’s official media and communications outfit.
The Facebook posting also included a screenshot of the Twitter account of an individual named @ArieCadaver who made those remarks.
On his Twitter posting, @ArieCadaver wrote that as a result of losing the land, the religious where his cousin was studying had to be moved by next year.
Also posted on Facebook was a statement on the status of the land, including a comment that anyone who wants to check the status of the school site could check their facts first.
